Goalkeeper Zach Thornton arrived Friday night in Chicago and was welcomed by Goalkeeper Coach Leo Percovich and midfielder Jesse Marsch. Chivas USA acquired on Friday the five-time MLS All-Star and 13-year veteran of Major League Soccer, from the New York Red Bulls.
"Obviously, [Chivas USA] is a big club. It's a good club, it's a big opportunity for myself", said 34-year-old Thornton, a former MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, MLS Cup winner and three-time U.S. Open Cup champion.
